Winning the lottery.

Yesterday I shared a conversation with my grandma and grandpa chatting about how things are going with school and what we have been doing. We talked about Andrew's stay at Children's Hospital Epilepsy unit two weeks ago, and even though derrick and I sometimes feel overwhelmed and worried about his conditions we came away with the awareness that we don't have it as bad as some parents and children that were at that hospital.
The conversation then turned to the economy and how we wished we could win the lottery and share it with our family in hopes that it would make life a little easier.
My grandma made the comment that we really win the lottery every day by just being alive. I guess it just hit home for me how lucky I am to have a wonderful family, a supportive and loving husband and three children that i absolutely can't live without. I guess i am pretty lucky to be able to win the lottery everday!

What a smart grandma you have!! We all need to be reminded every now and then just how lucky we are!

Ditto on how blessed we are and how we often take it for granted. Your grandma sounds like a very wise lady.
